Default RE: MY DRY SPELL IS FINALLY OVER

I live in Godfrey but hunt in Greene Co. near Carrollton. So heres the story: me and my brother scouted our hunting grounds 2 months ago and did our trimming of shooting lanes ect.So this morning we get there before light , I go to my stand but the trail is blocked by a downed tree and there really isnt a good way in at leats in the dark( forgot my flashlight) so I sit on the feild edge waiting for a little light to find my way.All the sudden I hear that dreaded sound of a deer snorting(busted, damn) I sit there a while hoping maybe the deer will come out but no. I turn around and see another deer in the middle of the feild about 150 yards out and it sees me (crap) anyway I make my way to my tree and climb up, strap my stand on and just getting ready to attach my safety harness to the tree when i see a doe coming in right at me (ever get doe fever?) dont even have my bow up yet and shes 25 yards and closing so i figureWTH? i pull the bow up with her still moving straight at me, nock an arrow and draw ( cool my pull rope dont interfere with bow string) aim at the sweet spot and let one fly, direct hit pass thru. she runs 30 yards and crashes. So I gave her a ride in my truck
