Southeast MN, you have Whitewater 30,000 give or take acres of public hunting land. Never been yet, but I am going to do spring turkey there.
You also have all the state forest there that you can hunt. The WMA Whitewater is good if you don't have ATV, otherwise the forrest works good if you do have ATV. You can check the recreational compass on the dnr website for all 3,000 plus WMA's in MN.
