It works, but not as well as just getting a drop a way designed for the purpose. I have tried it a few time. I actually ruind a quick tune 3000 by doing it. I messed up the spring switching back and forth. Then took it apart to try and fix it. Never could it back together again[]. Oh well.

There are a few drop aways that work off the same principle though.
