Default RE: 5shot, question regarding your accuracy rating

The accuracy testing is the most subjective portion of my tests. When I say groups with field points, I basicly mean they hit within a couple of inches of my field points at 30 yards. This is with a well tuned bow with a good bit of helical fletching. Basicly It is what the head is capable of if you take the time to fine to your bow and arrow combination. Mechanicals in general tend to fly like field points, even out of a bow that is not fine tuned. On windy days most fixed blade heads can plane more becuase of the surface area of the blades. Mechanicals tend to shoot well even in fairly high winds. I have had some mechanical heads score a 4 in the accuracy rating, and I had one fixed blade head get a 5. The Slick tricks. My first round of accuracy testing with the slick tricks didn't show any better accuracy than with my Muzzys. When I shot them from a semi-tuned bow with straight fletchings, I could see a big differnce in accuracy. The Muzzys were all over the place, while the slick tricks grouped as well and with the fieldpoint tipped arrows. I am pretty easy on heads when it comes to accuracy becuase I know I may be having an "off day" or a great day shooting and that can effect the scores.
