Hey ya'll, I bought a model 70 probably about 5 years ago from wal-mart and after looking at the Mod. 70s that are sold today they all of floor plates in them, which mine does not. (mine is a synthetic stocked and blued 30-06). I was just wondering if anyone knew what particular model of the 70 I might have and if not having the floor plate was common on 70's when I would have bought mine. I was just wondering this incase I decided that I wanted to put a new stock on it down the road and if it would be possible to install a floor plate magazine, of if i'd have to find a stock without one.
