I'm 38, been hunting 22 years and going at it all wrong for the first 6 or so. Been bowhunting since '92 and I've killed 5 bucks and 1 doe that I can recall, and one turkey that I stalked and shot. You can kill several deer a year in VA but I tend to be picky and pass on the does and easy yearling bucks a lot. Now that I'm on my own farm and I may be taking more does for meat, but then again in the mountains you're only allowed one a day so it's hard to pull back on a doe in the morning and end your hunt for the day.
