Default The nerve of some hunters!!

I was out hunting in my usual place Saturday morning, when I arrived back at the Jeep I found a note in the wiper. Following is the note..

You are parked and walking in on the deer trail. Could you please find another place to park and access your hunting area. Signed by the guy.

At first I was thinking, well maybe...but he more I got to thinking about, the more mad I became. I have beenhunting this area for over 10 years and have parked in the same place all 10 years. I have watched numerous deer and nice bucks walk within 20 yards of my truck. The land that I hunt is land locked on 3 sides and open field all the way across the side that is along the road. The timber itself is over 1/3 of a mile across this corn field. The only other way in is to walk through a bedding area and then through the entire timber. I do have stands on the other end of the property, and when I hunt those I do park in a different spot.

Now here is the part of the story that makes me mad. This guy is a known trophy hunter. He hasn't hunted in 5 years, since he wounded a 160" class deer. During the last 5 years he drives up and down the road that the deer cross all the time going 5 mph (driving within 5 ft of my truck)at sunrise or within 1/2 hour of sunrise. I have watched numerous deer, from does to 150" bucks turn and run back to the timber they were coming from because he was sitting in the road. He hunts (and I use the term loosly) the property next to us and it isn't nothing to see him driving around the field in the wee hours of morning, still dark enough to have his lights on(during his off years). Or even parking in the middle of the field just to watch deer. Now since he is hunting this year, he found it necessary to place a stand within 50 yards of one of ours in perfect viewing distance.

Later Saturday morning I was talking to my good buddy, who hunts about 7 miles away, and told him about the note. He couldn't believe it and said that guys was on his list also. The guys family owns property that borders my buddies place and he found it necessary that morning to go and drive the border of the property. Needless to say he drove within 50 yards of my buddy at 10 minutes after sunrise. He knows that my buddy is a die hard and that he is out every weekend. They have talked on numerous occasions and he knows this.

As far as I am concerned this guys has not shown any respect to other hunters and is only concerned with himself. He had no balls, leaving a note on my truck. He lives 1/4 mile from our hunting spot and I guarantee he watches us walk out to make sure we don't cross the fence at all, he should have came and talked to us face to face. I know it may be small on my part, but I am not going to change the way I hunt or where I park just because he decided it was his year to hunt.

What do you guys think.
