My first deer with the bow sounds just like your hunt. 12 years ago my dad and I just climbed in our stands when 3 does were heading towards my stand and my bow still layed on the ground. I pulled my bow up and nocked an arrow when she was right under my stand. I put a perfect shot on her and watched her fall over 20 yds away and my dad watched the whole thing.
