Well guys, after 3 long years of hunting with a bow, this being my 4th year, I finally made contact and killed a doe. I have only shot at one other deer with my bow and it was a doe a couple yrs back. I think I missed her by about 4ft I was shaking so bad.Ha
This was a clean pass-thru, double lung shot at 18 yrds and she ran about 150 yrds and crashed. I was very calm and collected when I shot her which helped alot. I was actually so calm I wondered if something was wrong with me.lol I waited for the perfect shot, drew, put the top pin on her lungs, waited until she put her head down and released. No big story except I was super excited! I've waited a long time for this day to come but it was all well worth it. Now, I'm just looking for that big buck.
Cardeer, if you are out there, when I shot this doe, I had on the necklace you made me. I took a couple pics with the necklace just for you! Let me know if you are around and I'll send them to you. I hope you are doing ok.
I should probably include a disclaimer for your Northern boys. We can't grow our deer near as big as ya'll. This is an avg. size doe for East Tx. We can't compete with those "corn-fed" deer.
