I went over to the gun Shop and picked up my new 700 ADL Synthetic 270 today. I picked up a set of Weaver bases and a couple boxes of Federal Fusion 130 grain ammo. If they turn out to be a good load, I won't try to work up a load for this year. I have read good stuff about the Fusion ammo on a couple other webb sites. The gun looks good and feeds well. The trigger has no creep what so ever but its a little heavy. About five lbs. I checked the function of the saftey and stuff. I have never had a problem with a 700 and I have had a lot of them. I hope to get to the range with the chronograph and check out the groups. I have two Aetec and two Leupold scops to pick from as well as a Scheels Hunter scopes. Two are 3x9 and two are 4x12. Have not decided which to put on it. I had the gun on layaway. I plan to use this 270 and my NEF 7mm-08 this year for mule deer.
