Might you consider a .338 Win Mag? Makes a lot of sense to me, especially considering you will be using it for big bears. It shoots plenty flat, and, take it from me, it hammers elk out to all reasonable distances with 210, 225 or 250gr bullets. Moose are easier to kill than elk, and having a 250gr bullet up the spout when an angry bruin decides to fight back would make me feel a whole lot more comfortable than a 180gr bullet.
