Default Do you take a chew in the woods? Experiences?

Being a fairly new hunter and not knowing everything, I have been chewing Kodiak Wintergreen while hunting the last 2 years. Once in a stand and once on the ground. Bad habit, but nothing like a good chew when hunting. Both instances I have had a lot(doe and small bucks) of deer come right by my stand. I have been reading some previous messages on this, but it did not seem to have an effect on them in my case. Now knowing what I know, this is dumb to take the chance, but I still had deer by me. Either the wind was right, or they did not notice because it is wintergreen. I dont know if I will take the chance though this year, but it will be hard because I chew all the time. Any experiences while chewing in the woods? Did anyone see deer while chewing?
