RE: 270 question
IF you use a 130-grain factory load with a muzzle velocity of 3140 FPS from your rifle witha bullet havinga ballistic coefficient of 0.490, and you zero DEAD ON at 50 yards, the bullet will strike around 1/2" LOW at 100 yards. It will be at least+- 21" low at 400 yards. Windage will probably be off as well. You will need to find a longer range for zeroing your rifle-one that has at least 200 yards available, and more is better yet!
