30yds is plenty.I generally don't even think of shooting over that,but there are alot of guys that won't even hesitate.I would just make sure I had a good set of arrows,and a very sharp broadhead.Honestly I would stay away from mech.heads with a low poundage bow.Sorry I haven't had any experience with the sonic broadheads.I am shooting rocky mountain Titaniums,and they are plenty sharp.What arrows are you currently shooting?
