Default RE: smoking in the tree stand?

i have heard so many conflicting stories abotu this. i know my dad used to smoke when he took me hunting. never really affected the hunt. I somehow always managed to sit down wind from him too, no matter which side i was on. Sometimes when i smell someone smoking, exspecially when its cold out, it reminds me of hunting as a kid.

but i will say this:
if you smoke and hunt, you should quit. My dad smoked for years, and it definately affected him. You ever help a smoker drag a deer? they stop every couple seconds to breath, takes an hour to move 100 yards. My dad quit smoking and by the next hunting season he could feel how much better he could breath. he could walk around all day hunting and drag deer out, going longer and further between rest stops.

you want to improve your hunting? then improve your breathing. you dont want to spend months planning just to be busted because you cant walk up a hill without panting and weezing.
