I have been out scouting only once this yr. and went out opening day(yesterday) out of tradition even though the temp is too warm for comfortable hunting. Both times I have seen the same 2 bucks within the same area(4 bucks on the scouting trip)......yesterday they busted me while I was walking along the cornfield edge. Hard to tell exactly how nice, but they both are decent bucks(8 pts.), and will command my attention later this season if they make it. For now I am going to enjoy the early season's sights and sounds, hunt for a doe, and hopefully find where a rip snorter buck is hiding. But in the back of my mind.........I know where they are generally staying. This has to be the best time of the year. Thank God for bowhunting!

Its not what you don't have, its what you have that counts!
