Many of you may not know what taste aversion is, but I just learned about it in Psychology class at college. Many of you may have it, like where you can not eat, sometimes even smell or think of a food, without feeling ill. Usually you have gotten a virus in conjunction with eating that food, and your body remembers it.I have one with crab legs, used to be my favorite food, now I can't touch it from food poisoning. Anyways, a while back, there was a problem someone was having on a ranch with coyotes eating their sheep. To solve the problem, the farmer slaughtered a sheep, put a legal drug in it ( can't remember it but can find out ), and set it out to be eaten. What would happen is a coyote would eat this, and it's body would temporarily go into paralysis, it would have spasms, and get ill, but it wouldn't die. Many of you probably already know that coyotes feed their young by means of regurgatating. So, when the mother regurgated into the youngs mouth, the pups were made sick, and the mother, and the pups, all had a taste aversion to sheep meat. They wouldn't touch it. I guess theory is if you do it enough in an area eventually it will almost eliminate the problem. I guess if you wanted to keep them from eating deer just lace the hide/remains you have with this stuff so they get sick. Just thought it was neat.I just thought I'd toss this idea out there. I don't know if it will help anyone but at least it's pretty cool to learn about I think. Thanks for the read.
