You did OK. All coppper removers[99%] are amonia based.Some are pretty strong,such as Barnes CR-10,Shooters Chioce,Sweets and a few more.These will not harm your bore,But,I would not leave them in the bore for long storage.
The bottled amonia,from the grocery stores,is strong,but it does work,it just has no anti-rust or bore lubes,built into it?Gun solvent,has it blended in,to prevent rust,after amonia strips it clean.
