I haven't connected yet. I let one of my buddies come down and visit and he killed two does off of the "honey hole" opening day. I had a 3 a 6 and an 8 feed around me for 30 minutes last night but no shots and had a mama and a little one under me this morning but let them walk. The gathering of info on your deer is optional. You don't have to do it. The check stations don't have to either, it is optional for them also. The AGFC is urging checkstations to do it but there apparently has been quite a bit of backlash so they changed the provision to make it optional.
