RE: 2003 Shooter of the Year Program
Thought I would comment on this, from an earlier line on this topic, it was pointed out that there are classes that are not inherintly competetive for the SOY program. It was argued that it was the shooter that wins not equipment etc... My name was used as an example of this, Wrong, at least under the current conditions. You will never see an MBF, MBR, RU, etc shooter win this. It will be won consistently by either a Pro, Semi-Pro, Or Open shooter. I can accept that this is the nature of our competition due to the restrictions we place upon ourselves and the classes we freely choose. However, it is a bit presumptious to ask these individuals of the restricted classes to donate (because that is what it is) to the few classes which will be competing for the title of SOY given the current criteria. I am willing to take my chances on a one-shot
format against anybody, but I am not deluded enough to think that I can shoot the same scores as many of the open, semi and pro shooters do throughout a year's worth of competition.
