Default RE: Mechanical BH-75% failure rate!!!!!!!

Man, this thread took a turn for the ugly. I don't know why anyone would get upset with CG. He just reported what happened to him. I think people get angry because they spend their hard earned money on a product and get their hopes built up that the product will do a wonderful job for them. Then, when someone like CG reports finding otherwise those that own that product get angry because they feel like they've wasted their money and instead of being angry with the product or the manufacturer, they shoot the messenger (i.e. CG).

The only thing that upset me in this entire thread was Belle Island's assessment that people who use mechanicals are lazy and don't know how to tune a bow. To say that, especially on this board, is ridiculous. I know there are guys out there that shoot mechanicals because they either don't want to or don't know how to broadhead tune. Instead of bashing them, maybe we should help them so if they want to shoot a fixed head they have that option. How receptive to instruction do you think they will be though if they are told that they are lazy and ignorant of tuning skills?
