I have to jump in here and defend CG's neck and head shots on a coyote. Those of you who are dumping your large animal ethical crap on CG for such shots on "ki-yotes," obviously have never done much bow hunting of coyotes, if at all.

Coyotes rarely present a shot as a larger animal (deer, elk, etc) does. A coyote is much smaller, much shorter, and are often partially obstructed by various types of vegetation. Most often, all you see is the neck and head. Therefore, a neck and head shot using a bow is common, and is a devastating hit on a dog.

I witnessed a friend (bowhunter) purposely shoot a coyote in the back of the head. That dog dropped faster than the drawers of prostitute being offered double her going rate.
