Default 45 Knight Disc

This post is only for information purposes. My cousin bought a Knight Disc 45 caliber when they first came out. He has just now gotten around to shooting this gun. I guess he has had it 4 years or so and never took it out of the box. To make a long story short. We tried sighting in the rifle and it was impossible. You could have grouped better with a 12 gauge using buckshot. We tried 777, BM3, & pyrodex loose & pellets. Everything shot about the same around 6-8" at 50 yards. We then changed scopes. Nothing changed. I called Knight's customer service. I gave them the serial # and they had an immediate answer. They said some of the first 45's didn't have the barrel floated properly. So they said to float the barrel and bed I guess for lack of a better term what they call a recoil lug. Doing this shrank groups immediately. There suggestion was also a red hot bullet and use loose 777. Groups with the red hot and 130 gr. equivalent of 777 produced 1-7/8" 3 shot groups at 100 yards.
