You make some very valid points for semi's a quicker second shot etc. I just worry about the FEW idiots out there that shoot from the hip at anything that moves I hunted with a guy ONCE that emptied his semi shotgun and when I asked him what he was shooting at he said
"a deer " when I asked him buck or doe he didn't know.That was the last time I hunted anywhere near him
I have no problem with a responsible hunter using anything he or she wants to use
