SD, I get what you are saying. One of the main reasons bows jump out of your hand is because they don't have enough mass weight. Nice light bows are nice for carrying, but depending on bow design they can take a heck of a jump forward upon release. And they don't aim as steady either, thus less accuracy. Adding mass weight usually helps with this. It's simply a matter of physics. It takes more oomph to move a heavier object.
