Default Stange/Interesting Deer Behavior

Saturday morning, I got the adrenaline rush of hearing approaching noise from behind my tree stand. Two big otters(doing a soft bark of sorts) came underneath my stand andcontinued running (hopping) off intothe deeper woods (I am about 80 yds from the water's edge). Interesting to watch at they were the first otters I have ever seen in the woods, but then here come two young does following them! They were focused on the otters which got well ahead of them. Then one doe put her nose to the ground and they went off to follow the otters' exact track - go figure. Reminded me of the time I saw a mature doewatching a neighbor's cat going through the woods. The doe would run just ahead of the cat, the cat would approach and the doe would runahead again to repeat the process, a hoot to watch...the cat didn't give the doe a second thought.
