That depends on what state you're in , some have right to hunt clauses in their state Constitution .
i for one dont agree hunting is a privelage. its my god given right to provide food for my family by harvesting game, i just have to pay the state for the right to do so.
on the matter of kids ages there should be no minimuim requirement. my son has been hunting in maryland with me since he was 10. he has harvested dove geese ducks deer and squirrel. lots of my hunting associates enjoy hunting with him and one reason is because he is a safe hunter. iv seen adults that i wouldnt dream of hunting with because they display careless attitudes in the field. yet iv hunted with kids who knew more about saftey and sportsmanship than adults ever will.
