Over time you should become more comfortable with the heights. If you pick your spots, and with a little luck, 10 feet can work. All the suggestions above are good ones but I would also add that if you do not feel comfortable 20' up in a stand, by all means do not go that high. If 10' or 12' feet is all you feel comfortable with, get up in that stand and hunt.
