A threaded on muzzle brake may actaully help the accuracy of your gun because it will add weight to the front and dampen the vibration of the barrel.
It is just as likely that it could actually hurt the accuracy of your gun because it affects thevibration of the barrel.
I completely agree with you Stumble, not to mention the fact that the more variables you introduce to the harmonics of the gun, the more difficult it becomes to repeat them. In the end the results are usually more erratic accuracy.
