i bought my wife one in 260rem, when i went looking, i was after a 7mm-08, however a friend had this gun s/s and at a decent price, and i know he takes care of everything he owns. i love the little 260 and my "bigger guns" don't see near the time afield they used to, the little model 7 is a dream to carry, pleasent to shoot even in the 308, reasonably accurate, i would buy another one in a minute, they are great in a tree stand, about the only time i dont take it is if the wife wants to hunt, or i'm hunting a big corn/bean field
