About the worst thing that happened to me was driving 78 miles to go hunt, and never even gave it a thought, until I reached my destination, to pick up the bow and put it in the Jeep before I left.


But, the funniest thing I ever heard, happened to a buddy of mine, or his brother I should say.

A friend of mine, Steve, and his brother were out pheasant hunting some properties they had. As they were driving from place to place in Steve's car, they both had to take a "nature break". So, Steve pulls over on the side of the gravel road, and both men get out to do their thing. Steve's brother, had put his gun in his leather guncase, and kept it in the front seat next to him. Somehow, he removed the gun from the guncase when they came to a stop, to check if a new glow-worm sight had stayed on the muzzle of the shotgun, before he took care of business. Well, conversation changed, business was taken care of, and both men got back in the car to resume their journey.

When they arrived at their next area to hunt a few miles away at the end of a dead end gravel road, they noticed that some buddies had already been their that morning to hunt, and decided to go elsewhere to another property, thus turning around to drive back out.

A few miles back the opposite direction, they both noticed something in the road. As they got closer to the object, they realized that it was a shotgun. Steve immediately new what it was. But, his brother, not being one to be accused of being bright, sat up in the seat and yelled, "Hey!!! Some idiot left a shotgun in the middle of the road!!! AND IT IS JUST LIKE THE ONE I HAVE!!!"
