It wasa false alarm...I ran down to the shop today at lunch...they opened at 12.
It was an FX...not an LX.
They didn't have an LX, OB or SB in my size...so onward I went. I called over to another shop and he had one in my size, and the accessories I wanted on it (almost).
I asked him to set it up and I would come down to shoot it and then buy it...but he wasn't willing. Could you believe that...so I was on my way there to see him in person and stopped to look at some fishing stuff at a different shop on the way. Well, they also had some bows...all PSE and Browning. I asked to shoot the Browning Illusion. The guy busted out his own (whose draw was obviously bigger than mine) and proceeded to adjust it to my range...pretty damn cool. Anyway, the bow shot like a dream. Smooth and quiet as could be. But I played like I was set on the Mathews and he started dropping...So I got it with a quiver, Trophy Ridge Drop Zone (Guide series w/ DHD) and TOP GUN NIGHTHAWK sight and a dozen PSE CarbonForce arrows all set up (loop, peep, lasered...) for $820. That was about $180 off (of in store pricing) without the laser set up or anything. I also asked about a hat and a sticker (hell...Mathews gives em to ya), and now I'll look pretty too.
