early...I have never hunted the Edmonton bow zone as I'm about 3hrs away, but I know it's pretty good for whitetails. Ihunt North of Edmonton every year and I've seen some brutes. It's probably similar to Calgary in which there are probably some reall big deer but permission is tough. If you are with a guide, I'm sure that shouldn't be an issue. You timing should be perfect as they will be in prime rut! Just be sure to dress appropriately, it can be anywhere between +10C to -30C. Good luck & let me know how you made out.
p.s. what do they charge for a guided hunt if you don't mind me asking?
