I did own a bar mk II in 7mmremmag that did jam on me in cold wet weather despite proper cleaning and maintenance.I sold it to a friend and it jammed on him on a moose hunt.Ikilled my own grizzly with a 338x8mmremmag as he charged us.The bolt action was plenty fast enough to stop the bear in time.
