triple se7en - I dont know if you could leave the liner out, but the manual says that it deflects the gases/explosion away rather than backwards(at the shooter)in case of failure. It says that they need replaced after @200 shots. They include two extras plus the one in the rifle when you buy it, that would give you 600 shots give or take. I dont have a clue as to what the replacements will cost[].
