Everything I read and was told was that deer tend to shy away from areas where cows are. I was really upset when I found out that the neighbor had turned the bulk of the property into a pasture. I would still find tracks in the area but nothing like I used to. This winter when I was shed hunting I found a heck of a little area of young willow trees. There were between 20-30 rubs in a 10x10 yard area that is within 75 yards of where this pic was taken. I would like to think that this guy is the culprit for those rubs but there are alot of bucks that pass through the area.

I also have a picture of a buck from the same area 2 years ago this fall that had a split g-2 on this left side. At that time I would guess he was 2.5, not huge but a good young deer. If that's the case then he is at least 5.5 by now if it's the same deer.
