Some advice...take your time with the shot....some new moose hunters get concerned with the moose when they start walking towards them...I think its less distance to cary them. I let them come as close as possible and then wait for a good shot. Moose wont, for the most part, jump like a whit tailed deer. so pick a good rest and dont start letting lead fly and think they are going to drop or even make a shudder if they have been hit. One of the first moose i shot, 2 year old bull, continued to eat and then fell over dead after about 1 minute, thought i missed him clean.
