RE: Official Team The One Hit Wonders (3) Thread
I finally got around to checking my old stealth cam. I put in a corner along a bean field behind my fiance's parents house. They only own about 25 acres of timber with about 22 of it being cattle pasture. The place used to be crawling with big bucks until the cows moved it. Last season I only hunted it a few times since I was so dejected about the cow situation. I did see a monster one evening doing some scouting from the road. I hunted the place the next morning but saw nothing of him. Did have an opportunity at a young 7. My fiance shot a nice doe during gun season on the property later last season but I never hunted there again. So this summer I decided to bust out the old stealth cam and see if it still had any juice left in it. The roll was about half blanks but I did manage to get some pics of this hog.
I got 5 pics in all of him. I'm pretty pumped about the deer still using the area even though the cows are there. I will definately be hunting those 3 acres that aren't pasture. I have three spots that I can setup. One of those being a ground blind, one a tree where I can get my climber around 25ft, and the other is a huge oak tree that I plan on putting a Lone Wolf Alphs hang on in that I just ordered. There were 3 other bucks on the roll. None compared to this monster though. Only 15 more days until the season starts. Hope you all are as pumped as I am. Here's a couple more. They aren't the best but what can you expect from a $60 camera. I have my digital camera in the area now. Hopefully I'll have some clearer pics of him.
