Default RE: Ethical/Legality?

I sent the question to my State DNR office, my question is in blue, obviously, their reply in red.

If an animal is shot on private owned property, andthe animal is shot and traveled across the property line, is the deer un retrievable if the neighboring landowner does not give you permission to look for and retrieve the deer?
Hello:Unfortunately, yes. You may not track or retrieve deer on property without written permission. Thank you for your interest and have a great day. I would be seriously upset with the neighboring landowner but there isnt much you can do unless you do it illegally. Would I personally try and retrieve it? Hell yeah I would People like bawanajim talk a big talk behind a keybaord and show their input and views should be disregarded basedon his intelligent comments, or lack thereof. Wether he wouldnt allow anyone to retrieve the animal or not is irrelevant, its the way he replies, responds and talks down to others that makes him that much less credible IMHO.
