I hunt on public land and usually hunt close to private property 30-40 yards from the line and before the season starts I try to make it over and talk to the owner, after a few minutes of getting to know me he had no problem letting me on his land if the situation ever arose as long as I let him know before I entered his property. All the other hunters told me this guy was a jerk and a few other choice names and he wouldn't let them on his land. I think alot of times if we will aproach thing s before they happen and just let them know where we are setup and it's not on their land it goes along way with them and if he said "no" I'm going in after dark and getting my deer!
