I bought an FN Mauser .30-06 the other day for $220.....it shoots great and is a superb rifle...It's actually a J C Higgens M-50
My point....often times the used market has some really good buys.....keep the eye open.
BTW your 710 is junk unless it's repaired....return it to Remington and see what happens.....it's cheaper than trading a broken gun....ya won't get a dime for it.
