Default Picked up the new slug gun

Picked up my new slug gun at Wal-Mart today. Had already handled the Pardner so the Tracker II felt familiar. For the most part, the craftsmanship looked good. There is a small nick where the wood on the stock meets the metal. Not sure if it is enough to cause a return or if it is expected on a $132 gun -- probably the latter. I was surprised that the hammer actualy blocks full use of the sights until cocked. Would the spur extension fix this problem? At first glance I would second the previous opinion on the recoil pad -- looks substantial. It came with information on the Accessory Barrel Program which says I could get most barrels for $58 and the Ultra 20ga barrell for $93. Adding the Ultra would actually cost overall about the same amount as ordering the Ultra from my local gun shop would have cost. So, maybe in the future if I don't like the kick of the 12ga....??? I have bought a couple boxes of slugs (Winchester Copper solids and Federal Copper Solids -- both in 1450fps) that I will give a try this weekend after I have a chance to clean it. Just a warning, though, I'm probably not as picky as others about pinpoint accuracy, so I won't have the extensive test results you may be used to -- but I'll report them for the curious.
