Hi guys-

Its only a couple weeks until we leave for Idaho for our rifle elk hunt. I've read and researched this message board a lot within the past few months.

I still have a couple questions....We will be back packing in about 5 miles from the nearest road. I'm interested in seeing how you "rifle hunters" hunt. We'll be getting in a couple days early to hopefully locate some good bulls.

Do you guys spend the morning glassing the open meadows on the northern slopes or the more open southern slopes?
