Talondale

I don't use a pop up blind. Some guys love them but I like being mobile should a stalk present itself if the deer are fairly close but not heading my way. I either make a natural blind from the surroundings or find enough cover to hide in.

Imake smallshooting lanes if sitting in tall grass, clover, cattailsor weed patches. The deer are real good for looking down them if you make them too big. I bend the cover overabout 2 - 3 ft high if I am sitting... higher if I am standingso it doesn't look like a trail. Learned the hardway long agowith a couple deer stopping to look down themand then walk in the lane right at me. I like them close but not that close and don't care for head on shots with a bow!!
