Well I will just suggest you put more time in the woods, I see twenty to thirty times the number of deer during bow than I do during gun. I have seen some real bruisers during bow(Haven't had one in range). Buckmine is right about your odds going up during rut, but before gun you stand a much better chance at a bruiser, rut or not, rut improves your chances though, but not being in the woods decreases them.
