Since I started my bow building mission, there wasn’t a day that went by without me at least fiddling with wood or something to do with trad. equipment. It became more of a lifestyle. No tree, stave or backing material is save around my house anymore.

My wife asked me yesterday if I would consider building her a bow. This came as a huge surprise, although we share most of our hobbies (horses, fishing, camping …….) se never actually consider the bow thing, at least not the hunting part.
I accidentally messed up the tillering on a maple/African rosewood (bubinga) experiment bow and ended up with pretty low poundage. It looks nice and with a few adjustments it will probably work for her. I’m just not sure how those 2 wood types would holdup as laminated limbs.
