Colorado Blues? Where'd they go?
Long time lurking, rabid grouse hunter here...
Have been out only three times since opener, but my "honeyholes" are not producing. Wondering who's been finding grouse, what kind of elevations?
Most of this country (near Steamboat and near Kremmling) is between 8800-9500'. Mostly aspen/sage borders with berries (which have really floursihed this year, btw).
Saw a lot of birds camping/fishing this summer, but they seem to have cashed in some frequent flier miles or something since September started.
Anyway, thanks for all the useful info on here. Great spot!
