Default RE: bi-pod vs.shooting sticks

ill take my 3 dollar homeade shooting sticks any day.........only use them when shooting groundhogs(because of the distance and theres not much to rest on in a hay field) and shooting the flintlock.....i found if i shot the flinter off the sticks im much more accurate....rifle season im close range and can shot off my knees well enough to make the shots so i dont use them.....i kinda hate to carry the sticks around.......but a bipod adds wieght and bulk to your rifle......so both have downsides...and upsides........long range and open spaces you definently would be better off having something.......
