RE: Are you a bad hunter?
15 years ago, I would have said yes. Very few deer spotted each season and even fewer killed.
But around 10-15 years ago, something started clicking. I started seeing more deer, seeing them before they saw me, and making more killing shots. I started to actually sneak up on deer while still hunting, and have deer bed under my stand while sitting in a tree. My stand site selections started to pay off, and I have noticed other hunters in our group seek out my opinion on hunting locations/tactics now.
Now, I pass a lot of animals up, because I am confident that I will see more/better animals later. I also am much more confident in my equipment and my ability to make a good shot.
I'm no master hunter, but I feel that I am certainly a decent hunter now days.
