If I hunted rattler country, I'd sure do it, but I hunt the Rollling Plains area of Texas and OK and snakes are not a problem.

I have had 3 dogs bitten around home by copperheads over the years. Only one was taken to the vet. Just gave them Benadryl and an antibiotic to make sure an infection didn't develop. Swelling was gone in a few days and no lingering injury of any sort.

Rattlers are a different snake.
